Born in B.C. Canada, Riley's family moved to Georgia while he was young. He began writing music and playing guitar shortly after moving to the states.

His viral-song "Hollow Heart" was teased online with a Facebook video that reached nearly 40,000 users within a week, prompting Riley to release the song early on September 27th, 2019.
